A Wonderful Weekend

We had quite a treat this past weekend with a four day visit from two of our favorite people...G-ma and PaPaw! They flew in Thursday night from Oklahoma and landed just in time to join me in picking up Jade from daycare. She was a bit confused when we all filed into her room, but by the time we got home, she was ALL about her new best friends. It didn't hurt that G-ma gifted her with a new doll, and some accessories hand-mady by aunt sue, but even without the presents, Jade is quickly learning how blessed she is to have the best grandparents on earth:) I should mention that her new doll, "baby jane" joins us everywhere we go. Jade shares her food with her, cleans her nose, wipes her face, and sleeps with her. Already learning those motherly skills!

There time here was filled with precious moments (some of which i was able to capture and post below). But the best part for me was sitting back and watching my daughter bond with my mom and dad. How wonderful it is to watch those relationships blossom. We took several walks, with and without the cozy coupe, enjoyed some yummy food, and of course, did a little shopping. By the end of their stay, Jade was reaching out for G-ma to hold her every chance she got!

Not only was our time fun and relaxing, but thanks to my dad and Carl, our garage is now spic-and span. It's like we've added a room to our home!! They spent hours building shelves, throwing out boxes, and putting every rake, wrench, nail, hook and bolt in its proper place. As silly as this may sound, it feels so good pulling my mommy-mobile into a clean, organzied garage every night! Clean garage, clean house, clean hearts and clean minds...those are the results of a wonderful weekend!
